Food. Fire. Feasts. Takes Outdoor Cooking to New Level
LAS VEGAS – Eight cooks from across the nation will prepare four days of rustic memorable meals outdoors at Zion National Park for the inaugural Food. Fire. Feasts. event Sept. 10 through 13.
The group will set out to show its 560,000-plus social media followers that people don’t need a fully equipped kitchen to feast. The hosts will demonstrate how to prepare a variety of meals using pure, raw fire.
The event will be broadcast live via Periscope, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #FollowTheFeasts.
Food. Fire. Feasts. co-founders, Billie Hillier and Christie Vanover, developed this concept out of their love of cooking, the outdoors and sharing recipes and adventures online.
“More and more people are finding enjoyment in cooking outdoors, and there isn’t anything else out there that showcases comprehensive tips, recipes and outdoor styling ideas the way that Food. Fire. Feasts. will,” said Hillier.
“We were very selective when deciding which cooks to invite on this adventure,” said Vanover. “We chose cooks who have proven themselves in the kitchen, over the campfire and in front of the camera to ensure that they can turn out a rockin’ meal and present it to viewers at home.”
The 2015 hosts for Food. Fire. Feasts. are award-winning recipe developers, published cookbook authors, international brand ambassadors and food instructors. They’re traveling to Utah from Delaware, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, California and Nevada.
The four days of meals will include dishes like cowboy steaks, pulled pork Dutch baby pancakes with Jack Fire maple syrup, black bean huevos rancheros, Middle Eastern chicken stew, even homemade breads and ice cream. Again, all prepared without a kitchen.
The cooks will even compete to create the best gilled sandwiches with a box of mystery ingredients. View the schedule and menus at http://foodfirefeasts.com/schedule/.
